So, maybe conveniently:
    do Bough Beech on Saturday,
then Frensham Frenzy on Sunday ?
Which would be best place to overnight at;  stay at BB,  or move to F ;  e.g. does Frensham have campervan (Bongo) space ?

Hi

Thanks to all that attended.

Despite the variable winds I think the racing was pretty good.

Was the one day format ok ?

The club plans to repeat this next sesaon.

Cheers

Titch, its done (thanks to Clive Morley)

sent to Y&Y and published on the front page/fb.

This Years Phantom Eastern Series Sponsored by JJ Boats and Allen started early with a one day event at Bough Beech shared with Contender and Blaze fleets. The small but very select group of Phantom sailors were greeted to a misty windless reservoir, however as the mist lift some breeze arrived.

Race 1

Following an abandoned start to re set the course, the fleet got of to a cautious start, Clive Morley and Andy Large made good use of the committee boat end going right up the first beat to lead round the windward bouy with Matthew House and Tyler Harmsworth close on their tails. Both Harmsworth and House showed excellent off wind speed to catch up and passing Large with House denying Morley his first every class win on the last leg.

Race 2

With the wind now holding fairly steady the second race got away quickly with the right side of the course once again favourable Harmsworth, House and local sailor Richard Sharp got away to finish in that order.

Race 3

After an excellent lunch local sailor Richard Sharp made a great start showing the rest of the fleet the way round the course, Harmsworth was caught on the wrong side of the line but managed to claw he way back for a respectable 4th.

Race 4

With three different winners from each of the races all to play for in the final race. With the wind now clocking even further to the right Morley made an excellent start with a pin end port flyer, passing the entire fleet only to find the a lack of wind on the right side of the course. Harmsworth once again got away to take the final win and first place overall from House on count back.

1st Tyler Harmsworth

2nd Matthew House

3rd Richard Sharp

4th Richard Hargreaves

5th Clive Morley

6th Andy Large

7th Peter Cook

Thanks go to everyone at Bough Beech for a great days racing.
