Who's going to Wimbleball ?
« on: February 27, 2016, 09:00:11 AM »

Hi southern phantom athletes.
Only 3 weeks until our first battle of the year. As you know we have a joint open Saturday with the K1's that worked very well last year. And the Beastie on Sunday if you want 2 days racing.
Me and Steve, light weight and heavy weight so shoreham have all wind conditions covered, will be there.
How many local boats ? and travelling sailors can organiser's expect?
I'm feeling confident for this series...

Sorry ...  cannot make Wimbleball this year due to other commitments but can confirm it is a good place to travel to with a warm welcome  .... even with its funny startline system  :-)  At least 1300 should know its way around there  :-)

Simon Hawkes has also advised me of a charity walk on the sunday to be aware of.

Busy boy, you will be missed. Will see you and JeremyH on the water soon. Just packed boat away in the dark as I had a flat tyre and wont be leaving things to the last minute again...

Great racing and I the vote was me to do race report. I will as soon as I have recovered a bit...  Final result was

1. Simon Hawkes
2. Steve Popple
3. Paul Birbeck
4. Ivan Walsh

I'll find out how the phantoms get on in the Beastie and let you all know later.
