Hi Ian,

There is no club racing on the Saturday, and the open is only a one day event, but I certainly be keen to get a bit of practising in on Saturday. I'm sure my old man would be too. Maybe we could get a few more and arrange some informal practice / training?

And if anyone needed to we have a couple of spare rooms available on the Saturday night, with a cracking curry house only a 15 minute walk away :)

Anyone else feel a plan coming on?!

Rich

Sounds like a plan and would take a bed if one is free.

Cheers

Excellent news folks, I'll get an NOR out shortly.

As for Saturday sailing, I don't envisage any problems, but just have to run it past the committee. Ian, there is a room here with your name on it.

EveningFolks,

I have spoken to the committee and as suspected there are no membership problems with anyone who wishes to come out on the Saturday for a touch of practising prior to the event on Sunday...

HOWEVER...

We are currently experiencing a water level problem. Recently our humble reservoir had to be significantly drained by the water board and it was hoped that the level would be back to normal in time for the Phantom Open.
The water IS rising, albeit not as quickly as was hoped and it is not certain whether it will be sufficient. I intend to continue planning for the event, and the NOR etc should be out by the end of the week. The committee have advised that a decision will be taken on the 4th April regarding whether or not to go ahead with the event.

I appreciate that this could be short notice for some, and apologise if this has let anyone down.

I soon as I hear any news I shall post it here to keep you all informed.

Cheers,

Rich  :(
