« on: July 04, 2011, 10:37:33 AM »

Are there any details of this event available as I am trying to work out if its suitable to take the kids to.

Details of how many races? Will they be back to back? And is there any camping at the club would be fantastic

Many thanks

Just got following info from Bruce Riches, SBSC sailing sec.
Hi James it is good to know there is some interest in the meeting, the final decision on the start sequence will depend on entries but at the moment your fleet will be first away, this will be posted at the club as NWNW sailing instructions have already been sent out.

Saturday you will be given 2 races, Sunday 3 races with 4 to count.

Entry fee £25.00

Free camping & ok for camper vans.

Other accommodation contact the tourist office at Hunstanton tel  01485  532610    (normally very helpful)

Catering, evening meals on Friday and Saturday, these are normally 2 piece & cost £10 adults. Breakfast before sailing & the galley will be open for most of the day.

Entertainment for Friday/Saturday to be confirmed but there will be music for merriment & dancing.

Phantom sailors will be welcomed to join the racing at Snettisham on Friday of course.

Evening meals are encouraged to be booked early tel Guy Playford   01485 542647   07074542384

Any sailing or club queries contact   Bruce Riches   01485 520216  07792068143   or Paul Norris   01485 540604   07900556579

They worked out the best time for sailing is when the tide is in!
You can walk the course in the afternoon!

Apologies to all, but I am unable to make this meeting as I will be working in Paris with JJ.
I really hope you have a good one, you can also join in the NWNSA racing on the Friday.http://www.norfolkweek.co.uk/pdf/NWNweek-programme%202011.pdf
One of my favourite venues. Chris Roberts,Ocean Strider, used to race there so may be able to help on any questions or contact the club reps previously posted. No problem with responsible dog owners on site!
Catch up with you all at East coast champs. at Stone.
Cheers, James. 1327
